In its almost 6 years of existence Dexion has grown to be one of the market leaders in the field of storage solutions manufacturing and selling in South-Eastern Europe.
Dexion specializes in the field of designing, manufacturing and selling various storage systems, from pallet racking to archive solutions. Dexion offers both storage systems manufactured in the Romanian factory and from the factories in Holland, Finland and Germany.
Mr. Stuart Meikle, British Honorary Consul chose to visit the Rasnov facility in recognition of the important role of the company in both Romania and UK, viewing Dexion as an example of the flourishing economic relations between the two countries. Dexion maintains the United Kingdom as one of the company’s major partners (both as clients and as component suppliers).
The Dexion plant in Rasnov specializes in manufacturing complete storage solutions such as pallet racking and light shelving as well as various accessories. The factory also manufactures solutions especially designed for the Romanian market such as two types of console shelving for long goods, various handling solutions as well as special custom-made accessories.
Mr. Meikle was impressed with the factory and its full range of equipment for processing steel and for bending, cutting, shaping and painting various shelving systems, fittings and accessories. He visited the group’s testing laboratory, also hosted by the factory, where new solutions are put to the test using dedicated technology and highly-trained specialists.
The British Honorary Consul also visited the Group Sales Support Center, a specialized group of engineers, located at the factory, who give technical support to Group Sales Offices all over Europe.
As follow-up to the visit, Mr. Stuart Meikle had the following to say: “I am highly impressed with the work Brian Howson and the UK/ Romania team did in setting up this facility and getting it up to European work standards. I am also impressed that the company has managed to continuously grow and expand since its inception, establishing itself as one of the major players in a market as difficult, competitive and price-oriented as Romania.
I was especially pleased with the potential of the people and the way the company puts Romanian employees in key positions.
I have known Romania for 15 years and have been pleased to witness the changes it has shown. I have faith in the country’s future, powered by its people, its natural beauty and resources and hope other foreign investors will follow Dexion’s example and invest in the country.”
